An expensive and wet supercharge

Most superchargers outside of California (and maybe NYC/NJ) are like that. I seldom see more than one or two cars, none mostly.

I tell you, it was cool to watch the tow truck driver work so fast, especially in the rain. Faster than the other Model 3 that took 4 tries to back into one of 5 open spots!

You mean "free"? I think you get 3 or 4 free tows for like 7 miles each per year. I am actually AAA Plus... I get free tows up to 100 miles. I will just asked to be towed home if I ever ran out of juice. I also read that AAA got EV rescue vehicles (to charge empty EV) in the Los Angeles area.

The story goes that he arrived at the Supercharger with a very low state of charge - to the point that the car would no longer go into reverse, but would still go into drive. Rather than pushing it into the stall, he pulled in like that for long enough to add enough juice that he could park normally.

I think he is trying to figure out how to get back in the car. Clearly, he has difficulty seeing all the possibilities.

I assumed from looking at the picture that the driver simply didn't WANT to back into the stall. interesting to find out that he could not reverse, but he could go forward.

(BTW this doesn't make sense to me -- but i guess strange things happen when you are driving a cell phone on wheels..)

Can you still put the car in neutral when you run it to 0? Or does it just default to N when dead so you can tow it?

I once suggested people should have captain license or pilots license to use AutoPilot so they'd be trained to "pay attention".
But I see now, that isn't going to improve backing up.

So perhaps IF drives are going to stop paying attention, they must have a front seat passenger to take over. Is that it?
