There is no reserve that you can count on. That is because measuring the amount of energy in the battery pack is not an exact science. The battery management system provides its best estimate, but that is not the same as measuring the amount of fluid in a tank. There are reports of people getting several miles past zero, but there are also several reports of cars shutting down before reaching zero. Reread my second sentence. Because of the unpredictability, your best bet is to find a charger before reaching zero. This is especially true in the cold.

When the main pack voltage gets low enough, the car will tell you that it is shutting down and it will no provide propulsion, but the rest of the car's functions will work for a short time. At that point it is running off the 12V battery.
