Annoying brake behaviour when creeping forward

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
When driving on city streets with autopllot enabled (only adaptive cruise control), and stopping behind another car e.g. in front of a traffic light, the distance to the car in front is way too large. So what I do (as with any other car I had with adaptive cruise) is nudge the accelerator to move closer. That leads to what seems to be the brake pedal modulating in and out and making a loud metal clicking noise. As well, it seems the brake is very forcefully applied when letting go of the accelerator, forcing an abrupt stop.

Do others have the same experience?

BTW: setting is at 'creep'
