any word on active noise cancellation in the refreshed X,S ?

Don't bother, several German cars got it, and it's always an disappointment.
You can't effectively cancel noise from all directions for all occupants.
You enable and forget it, until on gravel or heavy rain, then you almost get dizzy by the annoying effect of the odd noise it generates. Then you switch it off, and enjoy the relative comfort of normal noise.

Sorry Ande, but I have to disagree.
It´s working really well. It´s not a "noise cancelling" per se, but a noise filter, which works very effective in cutting out the low frequency rolling sounds.

I got my model S soundproofed , they mounted precut parts in doors, and all over the body and trunk. It works very well.

Yes on and off. Also it will give different profiles like optimized for all passengers, or if only one person in the front seat optimized for front passengers.

I wonder if it only runs when listening to audio. On my Jeep it was built into the Amp and you could not be disabled it (I miss how quiet that Jeep was). Hoping Refresh will get close. Thanks for sharing info.

The performance varies. Sometimes I can play with it and hear a noticeable improvement. Mostly there is no discernable difference. At some points it actually makes it worse - creates a large echo chamber in the car producing a headache. Service has been working on this and the fact it calibrates every drive and sometimes will not reach 100% calibration after a 30-60 minute drive.
