Anyone done any road trips in Mexico?

The supercharger network in mexico seems.. underwhelming. I'm going to be largely in baja, but below Ensenada there aren't any superchargers, but there are a number of destination chargers. But i'm concerned that the hotels and what not require you to be a guest to use them.

Any intel?

I met someone at the McAllen TX supercharger who had driven up from Puebla, Mexico and at the time (October 2021) he said that supercharging was #free in Mexico

I didn’t get charged at the Ensenada supercharger last year.

When it comes to destination chargers over there, it’s probably best to plan to be a paying guest at the places you charge. Some may allow you to pay to just charge but I’d plan for availability of that option to be inconsistent or for the cost of doing that to be high.

I have considered the Baja drive. It looks doable, but only by having short driving days of (80% of range) because you need to stay overnight at those destination chargers to pull it off. Maybe you might find a charger mid-day in a few places you want to stop at a beach, but it's pretty sparse. For the future.
