Anyone got door edge guard protectors?

After giving a ride to someone who flung open my door and very nearly hit another car, I'm considering these:

I'm curious if anyone has already installed them and do you have any suggestions?

Door edges were done with PPF when the car was done. Three years and no edge chips yet.

I think if you're gonna do it you need something the full length of the door side. In the example you gave it's gonna be the very edge of your door hitting another car so those pads won't help.
Clear would be best IMO. Maybe a thin strip of PPF style tape could be enough.

Yeah I'd prefer something clear and low key too.

I'm less worried about scratches to my own car and more worried about dinging another car and being forced to pay for someone's entire door to be repainted (huge $$$).
