Anyone know why used model 3's on tesla.com just went up by $3k?

Had my eye on a couple of them and now the cheapest one that was $41k is now $44k. Another I was scoping out was $43k and is now $47k. Why on earth would I buy a LR RWD used 2018 car when I could buy a new AWD one with a tax credit for about the same price?
Sometimes I don't understand what happens behind the scenes on the used inventory.
Oh yea and by they way you can get a used P100D for $68k now lol. SMH.

I think just answered your own question. Tesla tracks their success as a company based on the number of new cars sold. They don't care about used cars sales.

This is exactly it. They raise the prices on used ones to incentivize purchase of new, especially after they had demand pulled forward by another tax credit reduction.

I think they also move pricing around so that when you see a good deal, you jump on it for fear the price will rise again. I'm not sure if that's part of their logic explicitly, but I think it might have that effect.
