Anyone own a Model Y and Model 3?

I'm looking for the height of the door speakers. I measured mine and the right one from base to top (following the angle) is around 138mm. My left one is around 130mm and has a noticeable gap when the door is closed. I was wondering if anyone else could a) measure thiers for comparison and b) compare the height with what the model 3 has.

I'm thinking that they installed a model 3 door speaker in error but without comparing the two it's difficult to say.

I can take pictures if that will help anyone help me.

I own both and am willing to help but I'm not sure what your reference is for your measurements. What do you mean by "following the angle"? Do you mean "as measured along the edge of the speaker"? Pictures might help.

One way to quickly differentiate the MY from the M3 front door speakers: the M3 has a visible cross-hatched frame behind the speaker covering whereas the MY does not. They don't appear to be the same size but I haven't measured them yet.

Sorry for so many pictures. I'm trying to show the difference between the twos well as how I measured it, the gap and the look of the speaker.

Ok, I thought you were talking about the speakers located at the bottom of the front doors. I'll go look at my MY, compare my speakers with your photos, and get back to you.

I measured my MY and M3 front door (top) speakers and took a couple photos. The distance along the vertical edge (the edge next to where the window slides up and down) of both left and right speakers in the MY is 138 mm while both left and right speaker edges on the M3 is 106 mm. Not sure why your left speaker would be smaller than your right speaker - I think they should be the same size. However, it doesn’t appear your smaller left speaker came from a M3, it’s too tall.

Ok, very odd but thanks for checking for me. Since its not off an M3, I might just live with it. Either that of take a few more measurements and contact TESLA to see if they can explain it to me.

There is a little frame in the door panel that aligns with the speaker on each side. It the speaker was too small, there would be a gap there.

Maybe it's just something that's out of alignment.
