Never had a front license plate on any of my previous 13 cars. Don't really want to start now on my 14th one (Tesla Model S). Haven't yet removed the front plate bracket.
Was thinking maybe I'd split the difference and use this STO N SHO bracket. Normally keep the plate off. If I do get a fixit ticket (happens rarely but once in a while - usually in Palo Alto or San Francisco by meter maids - haven't received one by Highway Patrol or Sheriff in 20 years), then I figure I'd quickly slip the plate on with this bracket, have it signed off on, and then pull it back off (looks like a 5 second job).
Wanting to know if anyone here has used this, specifically on a Tesla. If so, any photos or comments about it?
It says "no drilling required" - which sounds even better. It's around $85. Not cheap but not too bad, either.
