note: Android is proprietary to Google - they just open up a bit more of it to developers because they don't care about brand reputation since the phone user is their product, not their customer. They don't care as long as they get to have their spyware in the kernel collecting information about the users that they can sell.

Funny enough maybe... this comes close to what an Apple Car could have been, even should have been:

I was actually on a tour of Tesla Giga Nevada and the guide showed us this distant solar farm that belonged to Apple:
Just past the new Semi Truck factory they have cleared the ground for and over a few rises.
Said that the alternating grey and white building they currently build the Semis in by hand can produce a new Semi in as little as 3 days. They only have 42 with other companies, but they have made a bunch for themselves, they were all over this town and the road back to the Bay Area.
