FSD down to $8k
If buying a tax edition under 80k, you definitely can just add FSD later if want it to avoid losing the $7500 off point of sale (if you qualify this/last year in income, etc.)

FSD down to $8k
Will they ever offer those kind of rates? I remember they were advertising 4.99% at one point but 1.9% will be amazing! If Tesla really wants to get out of this rut, throw in 1.9% financing terms up to 60 months or 3.9% for 72 months. This would really make my headspin...

I personally would not buy any Tesla or FSD at this point, I already took a really hard hit off loading an X in Jan. Not doing that again. If buying a tax edition under 80k, you definitely can just add FSD later if want it to avoid losing the $7500 off point of sale (if you qualify this/last year in income, etc.) is no way I would buy any Tesla of FSD
Everyone's situation is different.
But what sort of rationale do you go through to end up getting a 5 seater in MX? eg. do not need versatility of more seats? $7,500 saving easily justifies lack of versatility of having more than 5 seats? I (family) simply do not need more than 5 seats? I must have fold down and i don't need more than 5 seats?
Clearly as mentioned already, if MX 7 seat configuration is $2K, then yeah, that's an easy decision.
And i'm fairly certain the 3rd row 2 seats cannot be retrofitted by average person, in a 5 seat configuration.
What gets me is, will resale value of 5 seater be seen as less favorable option in a "SUV" vehicle, when it has >5 seats choices.
But then again, i own a X3 and that's an SUV, with 5 seats (but that is "only" 5 seats so if someone is looking for used X3, they know from start what they are getting for # of seats from factory)..
They might get someone else to actually do the financing, but they have offered promotional rates in the past. And I’m pretty sure there are a few who have had their cars actually financed by teslas captive bank.Tesla does not do loans
Can the tax credit be used as a DP or to take care of taxes paid upfront? If buying a tax edition under 80k, you definitely can just add FSD later if want it to avoid losing the $7500 off point of sale (if you qualify this/last year in income, etc.)
YupI literally took delivery 4 days ago. my guess of getting $2k back is completely gone..... right??
The tax credit comes right off the total owed at time of purchase. Mine was a cash payment, so it reduced my amount by $7500. I'd think if you financed it would simply reduce your loan amount; but I'm not sure if you can directly apply it as down payment. Can the tax credit be used as a DP or to take care of taxes paid upfront?
Hmm good question. It isn't off the MSRP, so it's applied later. It would apply like a cash down amount basically... countering taxes or giving you more down. Can the tax credit be used as a DP or to take care of taxes paid upfront?
5 seat rational: initial cost and CARGO SPACE. The 5 seat has the most space. Along with the sub-trunk in the far back, there is an additional 'missing 3rd row seat' sub trunk area. It is 2x higher than the 5 seater MY 'missing 3rd row seat' sub trunk where the mobile charge just fits height wise in MY, and very usable on the MX. Since the MX is really a minivan replacement that doesn't look it, space is king for us. Still can't match the space of a Caravan with its ability to carry 4x8 sheets of plywood or drywall in that. But MX is very space efficient for what it is. Frunk is big. Sub-trunk is big.Everyone's situation is different.

Tesla is offering 0.99% for Y. Not for X yet but it's possible..Still can’t beat earlier price drop which had ultra red for free
