Atlantic Canada: Where to repair paint?

Hi everybody.

My car will be one year old this week. I found that i have missing paint/chipped paint on the bottom passenger door.
I sent theses photos to Tesla through the app. While i have the feeling that Tesla will not repair it under warranty, i am wondering that if Tesla honor the warranty, does Tesla require the car the be repair at an authorized bodyshop if it is only small paint repair?

Because in Atlantic Canada, the closest authorized bodyshop is in Québec/Lévis.

Odds are they’ll give you a choice : local authorized shop, or ship to Quebec. Given past history, Tesla would rather you did local since it’s less stress on their service centers.

If you want to, you can nudge local shops you trust and see if they want to get Tesla certified. I don’t know what that process involves, but I know it exists.

Pretty much what i'm expecting to happen. Still waiting for an answer from Tesla.

Even paid by Tesla, driving 7 hours to an authorized bodyshop in Québec, driving back with a friend, isolating my friend and myself because we left the Atlantic bubble, driving back to Québec to get the car and another 2 weeks in quarantine doesn't worth it.

I will probably find a reputable local bodyshop and pay myself. Sadly.
