That's exactly what I am talking about.
A big ugly hole in the dash. Sure, you can put a glass on top, but it is still a glass covered big ugly hole.
For the Model 3, the dash is lower and the hole would be even more visible.
Definitely not acceptable aesthetically for Tesla standard.

Of course, they can do that, but it would defeat the purpose and destroy the design language of the low dash.

Man, if only there was a some kind of object front and center in the dash to block the view of it then they could still maintain the aesthetics if they choose.

Driver dedicated HUD seems transitional. Might end up with HUD for all/each as the driver becomes just another passenger.

This is exactly why the center screen is now oriented the way it is instead of pointing to the driver.

Absolutely, I am enjoying the HUD in my BMW everyday.
But I know I won't be missing it in the Model 3.
