Auto Climate Control and Rear Vents

It seems that when I enable Auto mode in the climate controls, the rear vents are on. Is there a mode where I can use Auto climate control without having the rear vents on?

Do you have child seats back there? Model 3 supposedly detects when there are rear passengers and heats/cools the back automatically. I suppose child seats might trick it.

Oh, that is very interesting. I don't have child seats, but I do have child that sits back there and says it's too cold . Kind of the reason why I was trying to turn the rear vents off. But good to know, I wasn't aware it detecting if someone sits back there.

I agree on the automatic on / off depending on rear seat occupants, but there is a button for it in climate control. It's to the right of the power button and just below recirculate. It's shown on page 91 of the August user manual under "Customizing Climate Control".
