Back seat/trunk OK for magnetically sensitive devices?

    With a pretty strong electromagnetic motor between the back wheels, is the magnetic field large enough to cause worries for hard drives?

    To answer your question, no, don't worry about it. Roadster owners have been leaving laptops, external drives, USB sticks, SD cards in the trunk nestled up to the PEM with nary a report of lost data.
