Badge vs no-badge

To badge or not to badge, that is the question.

  • Yes badge! I don't want my dual motor P model 3 mistaken for a pedestrian RWD version!

What are everyone's thoughts on Abstract Ocean's P3D+ badge?

I am liking this custom badge with 3 bars in chrome and P in red. 3 bars from Ebay months ago (don't think it's available any more but you should be able to find something similar if you like this) and P from abstract ocean. View attachment 377947
If I was to do an unofficial badge, I'd probably do P75D. That's how P3 is referred to in Tesla's internal computer system.

I have a P3D that I bought in 9/18. I never got the badging and spoiler which is fine because I like the look. However I plan to sell it in the future and buy either a Y or Tesla pickup. Would it be more valuable with the badging to a private party?

Sorry for the stupid question, but does Cal Trans and CHP know that Dual Motor means AWD ?
Apparently yes. We drove over Donner in snow (in our pedestrian RWD), and the Cal Trans guy asked about our "D", which we didn't have, of course. He was obviously aware of the Model S badges, just needed the update that Model 3 shows it a little differently.
