Big Discount on Inventory 2019 Model S 75D, thoughts?

Just joined as a soon to be Tesla Model S owner!

ordered with $2,500 down on may 22, 2019 of a 2019 75D for $67,700 (including dest) after $13,500 in discounts, Black on Black. with the used around 55K to 60K for 13K+ miles and about $7,250 in credits so about 60K plus tax seemed like a great deal, also manuf date is Jan 16, 2019 so right around the time Musk said no more 75D, so this had to be one of the last to be produced.

Shows under key feature autopilot HW, but the delivery specialist showed it actually had enhanced autopliot on the back page on her computer. No idea, but will see when I get the car sometime next week, unless anyone can chime in?

Even though i selected the local center online (marina Del rey), i got a text 2 days after order the car was being sent to Tempe, AZ! but it looks like after some logistical issues (as Tesla delivery person described it) I will get it next week.

I see the newer Model S standard with about 26 miles more range (285 vs. 259) is about 9K more than this one, not sure if it is worth the difference in price. I see some other inventory cars for more as well but a long range for 77K.

All of the inventory cars include free supercharging for life, so one other advantage.

My only thought is that I would not buy a 75 for myself, but that is just me because I do a lot of interstate driving and I want to get as long range as possible. The 100 is perfect for me, but obviously it depends on your needs and usage. And I am just guessing, but a thought occurs to me that as time goes along, a 75 might be worth less at resale because the trend is for cars to have longer range. Again, just a guess on my part.

you make good points, my office is only 10 miles each way and while i do plan on some long trips, with free supercharging for life, it seems like a good value over a new one without (other than the 5,000 miles with referral). I agree the resale value will be lower, but the large discount takes much if not all of that into consideration. the larger concern is a complete interior refresh coming and what that may do to all the current tesla Model S values, but again at 60K it seems like a great price, when a compared to Model 3 prices.

I think a S75D at LR Model 3 prices, with EAP and free supercharging is a great value.

Range is king, but I’ve driven my S75 80k miles all over the Southwest and have never felt limited by range. Are there times when another 70 miles and faster supercharging would have been nice? Definitely. Did that inconvenience ever make me think I should have spent an extra $20k? Not a chance.

Great car, you’ll love it
