Bluetooth profile doesn't store "Sync messages" choice

Every time my phone connects with Bluetooth, "Sync messages" is unchecked and I must select it again Shouldn't that be stored like the selection to sync contacts? Annoying.

This happens to me if I turn off the Bluetooth on the phone (which I often do when I'm in the house...)...
when I get back into the car, I have to recheck the Sync messages. Does not happen if BT has not been turned off though.

Right. I never turn off BT because I use it for other things like my Apple Watch. But since it’s needed for two-way communication, killing one will turn off the other end in the car. (Unfortunately.)

I just purchased a MY and noticed that sometimes my Bluetooth sync is turned off and sometimes it stays on. I haven't worked out the conditions that it changes though. I keep Bluetooth on all the time on my phone and never touch the settings in the car (unless I have to turn sync back on).

Maybe it turns off if the phone is out of touch with the car for too long (overnight). Maybe it just does it randomly. Maybe it does it every time I lock the car but I don't notice because I don't send text messages every time I drive.

Anyway, how do you report an issue like this? Being a new Tesla owner I'm still getting used to how things work.

It seems like this issue happens just on MCU2's (including Model 3 and Y). I have the exact same phone and vehicle firmware version as my wife does on her MCU2 car, and my MCU1 car doesn't have this problem.

Our X is a 2020.. I get this a lot ! I drive everyday and at least 3 times a week I have to turn sync back on in the car.

No idea why but hope someone posts a cure in this thread.
