Bluetooth switch controllers

Has anyone tried any cheap bluetooth controllers with the new software and have them work successfully. I tested a switch joycon and two switch joycons and they would not work with the Beach Buggy game. No throttle. I tested my son's pro controller and that worked perfectly but I shall not be spending 70 dollars on a controller. So wondering if anyone tried the amazon clone controllers and got them to work. Switch Pro Controllers. PS4 clone controllers etc?

I'd be super happy if we could use a pair of Nintendo Switch Joy Cons as a single controller for games in the car, but it's a very different beast... it's two controllers acting as one.

You might be able to use a single joy con sideways. I've used them on a PC using Bluetooth and third-party software called "Better Joy".

I paired two together in the car still didn’t work. Needs one controller but need confirm on cheap controllers

I bought two cheap, generic controllers from Amazon, like, 3 or 4 years ago, and they sill work fine to this day.

I tried two cheap switch pro controllers from Amazon they work perfect except the buttons are off. B is a. A is b x is y. The real switch pro controller works correct.

In my 2018 I don’t really have an open usb. Unless I can plug it into the back usb ports.
Anybody know if that works?

I don’t think so. I seem to remember that the rears are only for charging. I’ve used splitters with some satisfaction, as I have a few things going on up front.
