Both Screens Black After Entering - Come Back On After Brake

After opening any of the doors the screens immediately cut off and turns black until the brake is pressed. The HVAC is also cut off as soon as the doors are opened. For example, if I enable HVAC from the mobile app and walk to the car I can hear the system running. As soon as I open any of the doors or trunk the system stops and both screens turn black.

This is new for me as this was not happening on 2019.16.2 and started either on 2019.20.2.1 or 2019.20.4.2. This only happens after the vehicle is idling for an hour or so unplugged.

Tesla service is telling me this is expected behavior...

It's not normal, I posted the same thing about a month, along with a bunch of Youtube vids, etc.. check it out..

In the end I battled with Adv support (you have to call Tesla, bitch at them and escalate it)... and then they forced a full update again.

Now it seems fine.. but its not expected behavior

P.S. And we both have 70d's or AP1 vehicles as well.

same here, keep reseting my screen one a week.... something is wrong for sure

Well now it’s happening while the vehicle is plugged in so no improvements it’s actually worse. Also I typically start my day with 209rm after losing 3rm overnight. Today I am at 204rm so significant phantom draw overnight after this update.
