What you need to watch out for is Tesla's delightful new investigation charge of

Not payable if they decide the defect is covered by warranty, but you get the bill if Tesla decide it is not covered.

That seems to be a trend lately. One I don't like but other manufacturers are doing it as well and some charge quite a bit more.

Understand that they want to keep wasted time to a minimum if it's user error but a pain if you have an intermittent fault, I'm sure many of us have had faults in cars that required a few trips back to the dealer because the fault didn't show while it was in the workshop.

Never heard back on this one. What was the final verdict? Did you have to pay for it or was it replaced under warranty? I have a service appointment for this Friday and so far no news from the SC.
