Please post pictures once they’re in. I’ve been considering the cognac, autumn, and other browns. Did you order swatches to decide on color? What’s your exterior color?

I was on the verge of getting Autumn. I couldn’t see much difference between Camel and Tan. I believe that Camel is what T Sporline sells as Peanut Butter, and here it is in the car. Autumn is the exact same as burnt orange on Nissan 350Z. Much more orange and rich. Cognac is darker and could look awesome. It looks different in almost every photo, and the dealer had no samples of that leather.

Awesome thread- had no idea about the custom interior options. I ordered white. I wish I would have saved the $ and gone for these in brown instead. Oh well, next time around I guess.

Things get buried, but I don’t understand how interiors aren’t a common thing to swap on these. People do expensive vinyl wraps but don’t consider this. Tesla needs to just offer more colors on their own. Their cream/tan was always a blah shade, and now you can’t get that. If I were spending 100k on a car, I’d want choices. Black or white doesn’t cut it.

How long has it been? I’m planning on getting the same wheels from Canadawheels

I think there was confusion, and a ball was dropped. They said they had written me to ask about about something I had clearly stated in the comments of the order. I had no emails from them. Anyway, they shipped on the 4th (a week after the order and the same day I called to ask for a status update) and are expected to be here the 11th. That said, tracking doesn't show it past Ontario right now. I'll be away this weekend, but I'll post when they arrive. I can't believe virtually nobody has put on this fitment of the wheel. Most putting them on seem to have the less aggressive offset. I've yet to see them on a lowered 3.

Funny enough, I asked one company for a quote on more aggressive offset 18" wheels. They responded by telling me that I wanted 19" wheels and quoted me that. If they tried steering me that hard to 19's, I hope the look is what I end up wanting. Better to test out with these inexpensive wheels before jumping in with big $$$ on an unproven "look".

Have you looked at apex EC-7? 18x9.5 35ET

I don't want 9.5" wheels. 9" is pushing it. You lose a surprising amount of range by widening the tire. Yes, a 9.5" +35 is a good fitment, right in line with an 8.5" +20 wheel. At least with a 9" I can stretch a 235 to work or later put up to a 265 on it if I use as performance wheels. Apex offers it in 18x9 +31 which is similar to what I ordered. I just don't like the spoke design and no gold/bronze. Personal preference.

What's the size of the fast fc04? I got FC04 18x9 ET 30 for winter wheel set and going to use 235/45/18 tires. Is that a good choice for a non performance model 3?

You got the same size/offset as mine. Mine are also 235/45/18. It is within spec to fit on a 9” tire. There is a slight stretch, but it works fine. I’m happy.

If I had my choice, I’d rather have an 8 or 8.5” wheel for the 235 all season tire. I may have written in here that the stock MXM4 and the CrossClimate have an actual tread width of 7.5” compared to 8.5” tread on the Pilot Sport even though all are 235’s. If I were doing custom and knew it would still have a concave face, I would love 18x8” +10-15 to give the wheel rim some protection but still have the wider stance and concave face.

Wow, it’s been a long time. What’s been going on? Well, Tulsa got named a finalist city for the newest Gigafactory, and I’ve been active with some grassroots efforts. Photoshopped ELON M onto a license place and put that on my car that says T II L S A across the back. That got some attention and being used as a profile pic of the lead negotiator for the state on the deal. Anyway, took it out for some skyline shots while the car was squeaky clean, went to a Tulsa4Tesla event with the car front and center behind the podium facing a stock 3 Performance. Then I decided my subtle Easter Egg of Tulsa across the back was too subtle given the current situation, so I got new chrome letters and painted them gold. Definitely more legible now and ties in with the license plate. A little brighter than I wanted, but it will be good for a while.

Now that the bid for the Terafactory is over, I finally got around to putting the 18’s back on. Went to a parking lot during my daughters practice for some quick pics. Before, I had put a 7mm spacer in rear. Now, I moved that up front and 15mm spacers in rear. This is a net 18x9” +23/+15
