Buy winter rims+tires early/late?

I’m moving from M3 to MYP soon, delivery sometime Jan-Feb. I was originally thinking about buying some 19” R241 rims and x ice tires for snow, but now I’m not sure.

Wheelwiz has a sale right now for 8% off (may end boxing tonight) so was going to get the R241 rims for ~$1030+tax

Costco has a sale on Michelin $130 off ends Jan 2nd so 4 for around $1450 all in with Costco warranty. (They did say pirelli have a sale coming up, could go sottozero 3)

I’m on the fence if I should go for it or just wait for next winter, since I may have the car only for a month or less of winter. Maybe deals to be had in the summer? Or maybe hard to get tires sept next year?

Any thoughts?

The worst bouts of winter come in February to March.
Here in Quebec you must have winter tires on to March 15 by law.

Good point. I’m in Ontario but I guess some winters can be bad at that time. I do have another car with winters I can use and wait with the MYP so it s not urgent. Just don’t want to be searching for winters next year if it’ll be difficult

Ok went for it now. Costco Michelins x ice tires are $1453 including tax and install. Rims from wheelwiz $1164 including tax. So just need $430 including tax from Tesla for tpms ble. $3047 tax in. Still pretty pricey oh well will get a month or two on them

For myself car is no supposed to be here till April so I’m in no rush to purchase.

Costco went 20% off tires today only. Brought it down another $150. Even the package deals were more with tax than this, and I can get it installed in Costco more convenient for me at least
