Buying a Spare Tire

I exchanged the duct tape for Velcro, and now it doesn't slide around in the trunk:

I rearranged things, with all the tire-changing equipment in the lower compartment. The spare takes up very little space:

I decided not to get a cover; I can store grocery bags inside the tire.

Another tip: I taped on these Velcro strips to (1) indicate which lug nut holes to use, and (2) keep the tire from sliding around (works perfectly):

Finally put together an OEM Aero Spare I can take on long trips like to Las Vegas. The tire is a used Fuzion Touring tire 235 45 R18 with 90% tread left so like new for $30.00, these tires can be purchased at Walmart for 121.09 new or less. These tires are much wider then Michelins OEM tires and could prevent curb rash.

The OEM Aero rim I picked up on Parts Geek for $187.00 and $216.00 shipped
