Can you add referral if the car is ordered before 3/21?

I have 2 friends ordering their car before 3/21 and are waiting for delivery?
Is there a way to give them my referral code so they can get the Free Supercharging?

Have anyone successfully does this yet?

The rules specifically state that it only applies to orders after 3/21 and those before are not eligible.

will returning the car and reordering an option? Does Tesla implement a temporary ban from reordering right after returning the car?

Not saying I would recommend that, however Tesla wouldn't want to deal with the return if people really want to do that right?

It’s only about $50-100 of supercharging. Up to you if the hassle is worth it

So are you paying your friends the price difference just to get referral? Unless you do videos or website, it's nearly impossible to win Model Y or Roadster.

Referral Program

Related vehicle order must be placed after March 21, 2019. Referred vehicle orders must be delivered to qualify for awards. Model Y and used vehicle orders are not eligible. New or leased Model S, Model X and Model 3 orders are eligible. Referral code must be applied at the time of order and cannot be added after the order has been placed.
