Seems priority is for 21" wheels and plaid again. Any 19" is pushed to 2022

Mine is a rare combo of Plaid and 19" and is pushed Dec 13 - Jan 02. So in between...

Last year the VIN year production switchover was around October 1.

Playing with Canadian configuration for MS, it seems like white interior will push delivery to March versus December for black or beige. Not only it’s a $2500 option it will likely lead to luxury tax in 2021 costing close to $10,000

Maybe by February they may have a tow hitch option. And some say the extra tax applies to order date, not delivery date.

Where did you hear about the tax is applies to order date ?
I am pretty sure is related with the delivery date !

Where did you hear about the tax is applies to order date ?
I am pretty sure is related with the delivery date !

Someone posted that here several pages back. Others claim the tax has yet to be passed into law, could still change, for example, might exempt EVs, who knows?

It should exempt EVs. Let’s be honest, the Model S is a very nice car, but is roughly on par “luxury wise” to an 80-90K BMW or Mercedes. It only goes above 100K because it’s an EV. We are paying more just because it is an environmentally friendly car, then to pay more taxes on top of that is the exact opposite of how it should be.

That being said, EV incentives and luxury taxes are all done for political reasons, not for their stated reasons. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this tax get doubled down on when the election gets called on Sunday. Or maybe it will disappear too, once parliament dissolves if the tax hasn’t passed into law yet, it could go away, at least for another year…

MS-LR White | Black | 21" - 7/2 Order date RN1152 began with Oct EDD.
Yesterday, after the dreaded delay email, EDD changed to FEB.
Today, EDD changed to Dec 12 - Jan 01.
