Older Model S - is it possible to remove outer tail light without removing charge port?

A friend of mine has a cracked left tail light lens on their North American 2015 Model S and I offered to help him replace it. There is body damage to the quarter panel where the light is located. I purchased a used tail light from eBay, watched some videos to familiarize myself with the...

Model 3 LR cracked glass, defective?

Tesla pushed back, saying it was a stone chip. I explained my situation to the president of our local Tesla owner's club and he managed to convince Tesla to replace it under warranty.

Free: Weathertech cargo mat for 2017 Model X

Left over from my wife's leased X, details here https://www.tdotperformance.ca/weathertech-40859-black-cargo-liner.html Hers was the 6-seater version, not sure if this fits other versions and years. Local pickup only, central Etobicoke.

    VSEC_a222 TPMS Error

This happened to me as well some time ago; I took the car into service and they told me it was due to noise caused by my aftermarket USB3.0 SSD drive in the glovebox. I replaced it with the Tesla thumb drive and the problem is gone. On a recent road trip to Tucson it came back intermittently...

Do USA Superchargers charge Canadian Teslas in US or Can$ ?

Having just driven from Toronto to Tucson, I thought I switched to my US$ credit card by adding it to my wallet and setting it as Default. To my surprise I see my CDN$ VISA card was charged. I now see that under Account, you need to go to Charging and flip the previous card to the US$ card...

My fourth, and final, door handle has died

I had 2 failures on my S85D, both replaced under warranty. Good idea not to auto present, less wear and tear. Doubt it's an icing issue, probably just wire breaking from the microswitch.

    Winter Tire for S Plaid?

The load index for my PA4s is 100 (800kg) for the fronts, 103 (875kg) for rears. Looked for specs in Tesla documentation and couldn't find minimum load index requirements. I did drive all of last winter with these and had no issues.

    Canadian insurance

I also switched from TD (Monnex) after 30+ years to CAA. Home+car+cottage bundle with TD was ridiculous. Now use CAA for home and cars, another company for cottage, $2k/year less.

    Winter Tire for S Plaid?

My bad, my winter tires are bagged up and not readily accessible at the moment. I checked my KalTire invoice from last September, they are Michelins but not X-Ices, they are Pilot Alpins PA4. Hope this helps.

    Winter Tire for S Plaid?

I was concerned having such a wide tire for winter, thought skinnier was better. I drive a lot on rural roads that aren't plowed frequently. Absolutely no issues, very planted, even more so than my old S.

    Winter Tire for S Plaid?

I bought a used set of 19" OEM rims from another owner and got Michelin X-Ices for them, same profile as the original tires. Very pleased with the X-Ices for the past 6 winters on my previous S. Explored other options for a square setup but never found anything that looked appropriate.

Accessories that you absolutely MUST have for the Tesla Model S Plaid/LR 2021-2022?

I just noticed your post mentioning the OEM X hitch on your refresh S. Any issues with the install, and did you also install a wiring harness or is that just for a bike rack? I'd love to be able to tow with my S. We use my wife's Y for towing at the moment.

Has anybody installed roof racks on their Plaid/New LR?

I just installed my rack earlier today, noticed two issues related to the front mounting points. First of all, the protective film they supplied were nicely concealed at the rear mounting points, but they stick out about an inch on the front. Seeing as I already have full-body PPF, I likely...

Best charger setup for Canadian winters (can't park in garage)

We have an indoor wall connector for my Tesla, outdoor wall connector for my wife's Tesla. We also have a 14-50 mounted outside in a weatherproof box. Banff to Jasper AB to Kamloops in Model S 85D

We drove from Lake Louise to Jasper proceeding to Kamloops in September 2020 in my wife's X75D. There was no supercharger yet in Jasper and we had to wait for a J1772 charger in town. Our Chademo adapter made the trip easy and fast, we never had to wait to charge. Be sure to visit the High Five...

where do you go for brake calipers cleaning and lubricant and tire change at the same time?

Canada Model S Plaid and LR orders and deliveries!

My Plaid was delivered last November with the P Zeroes, thankfully I ordered PA4 winter tires months earlier and mounted them on the stock 19" rims. If anyone wants to sell their stock 19" rims, please PM me. I'm exploring summer rim solutions but haven't found anything that appeals to me yet.

Model 3 LR cracked glass, defective?

I have an appointment this Thursday for my glass issue which my PPF installer pointed out to me last month. He says it's a stress fracture, let's see what Tesla tells me. They are getting worse and worse for taking responsibility for any defects.
