Car delivered this morning ! VIN 2093
-25C here no issues running other than the driver said the display was not visible during unloading.
She was very cold from the trip and took some time to thaw out.
Had to be careful removing the protective cover that was frozen on in places.

Items not working: GPS, Internet, Maps and Voice Command.
I don't know that these are related to the 3 G coverage but I did have 3 of 5 bars at times.
I did the reboot on both displays ... no change.
Version is 4.0 [1.17.52] Any suggestions before I contact TESLA ?

Didn't the Delivery specialist note these problems, or did they crop up some time later?

I ended up having a "Home Delivery" , unwrapped the car myself and no DS other than the training on the demo car at the Vancouver Delivery Event.
Probably should have posted my question on the Technical / Mechanical Issues tread although I thought it might be a Canada 3G configuration issue on the SIG Model S

Huh. I thought the DS came to your home when the car is delivered. I live very close to the Toronto Service Center and plan to take delivery there so I can spend time with the experts and give the car a very thorough going over before driving off.

Sorry, I don't know what to think about your problem. I wonder if they just haven't set up your cellular account and no data is being let through (you still get bars on a cell phone with no plan... you just can't make calls or use data services).

We had a perhaps related (though not identical) problem when we picked up the car in Vancouver. We had 3G and basic maps, but not navigation. They said it was a problem with the SIM card initialization, and took care of it when they swapped on our winter tires/wheels two days later. It seems that you have no internet at all, so the initialization of that system for Canada might not have been done. It seems that they were sorting all that out in the first days. Did your car get forwarded from Vancouver or Toronto?

Definitely call Tesla and let them know. They will respond as efficiently as possible.

You will also want the 3G working ASAP to get the update to 4.1. There are a bunch of important bug fixes in there from 4.0 that people have been discovering (sometimes the hard way).

The driver told me he dropped 6 Model S in Vancouver , WA and drove mine the rest of the way to Edmonton, crossing thru Idaho.... long trip.
What number do I call ? Roadside Assistance ? one of the US service centers ?

Closed till Monday.

Might be that the Canadian roaming is not setup.
When the truck finished unloading my car, I noticed the google map had an image of Vancouver,WA .
That changed to "No Image Available" after I tried the located button.

Just have to wait and see.

I'm a bit more concerned about how the car was just dropped off like a FedEx package, and that you even had to unwrap it yourself. If I'm not mistaken, we're paying $990 for Personal Delivery and $180 for Inspection and Prep. It sounds like you got neither for your $1,170!

I'm pretty sure I saw someone else on this forum had a similar experience a few months back. To bad it didn't work out for me in Vancouver.
I'm sure the distance from a TESLA shop and holiday season didn't help.

The car needs detailing (paint has what looks like faint marks on the hood and edges of the car probably from the cover, a few tape glue spots etc)
I was promised they would arrange with a local detail shop to get that done.

I'm sure TESLA will come thru. Not to worry.

Here's some photos.
The roads are sanded and salted around here... makes a slushy mess when it gets warmer.

Considering these summer tires don't have much tread pattern, they are not bad on the hard pack.
I would not want to drive in a fresh snow fall though.

Yes, be careful with that. I drove our car with the 21s for two days on wet, snow, and ice here in BC. They are surprisingly good on wet pavement, but are much worse on snow or any amount of untreated ice. Also note that the tires on the 21s are much better if they are warmed up (heated parking, or after a significant drive). If the car has been left out in the cold for hours or overnight, watch out! They become much less grippy.

Any update on getting your 3G? I am curious how they are handling this away from the service centres.

Nothing yet.
Just got my car back from a local Mercedes dealer that TESLA had arranged for detailing the car.
I sent TESLA an email late today with photos to show work was completed and asked for an update on the 3G.

They had previously said they only have one technician in Canada and would arrange to send him to out here.
I'm not too concerned about the timing at this point. The car runs great on version 4.0 so far and I don't really need the 3G at the moment. The big screen is already distracting me from driving... a little concerned if I have google maps and web access on top of that.

With the summer tires and persistent salty-sand slushy road conditions, I've only put 600 km on the car up to now.
Very impressive how the Ontario and Quebec owners are braving the winter with their new cars.

Toronto called today to confirm my 3G was not previously setup for Canadian roaming. I checked it later in the day and web + google maps is working now.
Also fixed the clock being out by 1 hr and have Internet radio , very cool.
Sounds like the Nav however requires a technician visit for some reason.
