Car waking on & off?

Day one. Car parked in garage. Key in the house. I’m out front and the X keeps waking up (headlights on), then going back to sleep. Every few minutes. WTH?

Did you try a reboot with the steering wheel buttons? If that did not work, go to settings and do a power-down while sitting in the car, wait 3 to 4 minutes then step on the brake pedal to start the car. Now see if that fixes the problem. If not call Tesla HELP Line.

Had the same issue for months. Eventually had to turn on Power Saving and turn off Always Connected.

Are you out front mowing grass? Maybe the mower is too loud for it to get a good sleep in.

I'd speculate that your keys are JUST at the limit of range for it to detect them and auto-wake. Try moving them a few feet further away and see what happens.

We named our new X 'puppy' because every time you walk near the garage it perks up like a new puppy who thinks maybe we're going to go for a walk.

I had the same issue. While the key was in the house, it was close enough to the garage that it was still in range of the car. Moved the key further away and it stopped happening.

Thanks all. acal & ek993 we’re right on the money. Moved the fobs further away, issue solved.
