A new member and very concerned about our 19 inch Awd LR and if quality isn’t good. Our delivery specialist said just take pics. We have Vin 281. Value everyone’s expertise as our first Tesla and really excited about getting.

1) fully inspect before signing off, paying, accepting.
2) be reasonable. Tesla will say just sign, they can fix everything, but you have to judge what is practical and material. For example, I accepted a car with immaterial paint flaws and slight panel mis-alignment. But rejected a car that had a ding in the A pillar and wrinkles in the seats. No way to fix those 2 things. My line in the sand was this: nothing that requires them to send to a body shop.
3) if you find issues you are deeply concerned about, ask them to fix before you accept car.
4) be nice. They will work much harder to accommodate you.
5) if you accept car with “due bill” of items for Tesla to fix, get that in writing, don’t settle for email later.

Absolutely, don't settle for email or text message later. I made sure they listed the items in an email before leaving the delivery center. If you are professional about it there should not be any problems for them to do it for your documentation.

Can you get it in writing before signing when doing carrier direct? Seems like everything I have read says that I'll have to have already signed and paid before they put it on the carrier. So you've signed before you even get the car...So frustrating to have to be worried about this to begin with.

Oops you are right, I did not fully understand the “carrier direct” meaning. In this case, I’d do as delivery specialist said, take pictures immediately upon delivery and email with list of what you want done. Having said this, not sure I would ever take delivery this way. Hope it turns out ok.
