In my 5 years on the forum I have obviously missed the rampant abuse and scamming.

This is common practice, many vehicle forums require Price for Vehicles or parts. If you cant see the reasoning behind it I don't know what to tell you.

You mean establishing rules to a large community with ZERO sales forum rules or guidelines?

I noticed there is pretty much zero mod oversight on the marketplace forums on TMC. Compared to other forums that require prices to be posted, a certain number of postings prior to posting an item for sale, items must be removed from vehicle prior to sale posting, etc..
It seems like the Wild Wild West here.
