Charging at BP fuel stations [in UK]

I tried that with Halifax, they weren't interested unless I could show with a receipt that I had been overcharged, and of course you get no receipt on a tap and pay machine.

If that were me, I'd leave Halifax.

They are obliged to respond to any transaction query and put it on hold. The receipt is irrelevant, they have the transaction information and far more than you see on your card statement.

Sorry to hear they dealt with you so wrongly. You could write a formal complaint.

Other card providers should be far more professional than that.

I had to ring BP Pulse to get an extra £15 charge refunded when the charger didn't work the first time.

They told me you have to wait 30 days and then it gets auto-refunded. It still didn't though so I had to ring back up and get them to manually credit it back to me.

Thankfully there's just been a new Lidl store round the corner from me with a 26p Pod Point 50kw charger so that will be the new favourite.

My dealings with BP chargers make me think they are deliberately making it difficult so they can keep selling fossil fuels.
