Charging Interrupted, Car Won't Start

After I had configured, while awaiting delivery of my M3, there was an item on my Tesla account page referring to a lemon law process. I never looked at it. After my M3 was delivered, it was no longer there. Might be worth looking into.

By the way, my M3 (VIN 32XXX) appears perfect.

Every penny of your original purchase price. They usually do want you to get a new one, but thats always negotiable!

This just happened to my car last night. There was a loud hum (buzz?) coming from the front of the car when I decided to check on the car. "Cannot maintain vehicle power - Car may stop driving or shut down." It was in the garage charging, but it wouldn't let me disengage the charger, change gears, or engage tow mode. Car has about 410 miles and a week from delivery. VIN is 31XXX.
Once I used the emergency disengage for the charger, the 12V battery died quick.
They had to tow her away. It's at the service center right now.

Wow wondering if these 3 batteries are having contractor issues ..early 85 packs in S had these issues and same symptoms (contactors)

Hey, let me know how it goes. Mine had the hum/buzz too and all the same issues you experienced, although I can't speak to whether my 12v died. Mine arrived at shop yesterday at noon and no word yet on the repair. They were booked up yesterday and short staffed so I hope to hear something. Let me know if you get a diagnosis and/or can share with me which shop yours is at so if its complex the repair guys can compare notes.

How do you emergency disengage the charger?

Inside the trunk, if you look up in the left corner (flashlight needed) you will see some perforations in the carpet that lines the area. Inside that perforation you'll find a small wire with a knob on the end. Pull it and it will disengage.

Update from the service center: "There was an internal issue with the power conversion system". They are replacing that part and expect to be good to go this evening.

Beats me. I am no engineer but I would imagine that there may be a power inverter in the car and perhaps that failed.

Possibly the DCDC converter?

Well, they did not quite finish today but I can see I got what I think is the latest firmware 2018.24.8 update. Not sure what is in that update though

I picked up the car today and the receipt says they replaced the "power conversion system" I was told this is part of the battery assembly and is located below the rear seat. They did not know why it failed and it apparently includes a number of modules. Obviously it is way over my head but at least they were able to fix it quickly and I am happy about that.
