Cheapest clear bra option in Bay Area

Hello...

Getting my model X soon. Could someone recommend a cheap place to get a clear bra (hood and front bumper) on my car in the bay area? Not willing to spend a lot.

If you're getting car directly from factory, make sure to ask them not to wash it as they do a very bad job washing that end up leaving micro scratches. As for lowest price one that I found is Wheelxperts Clear Bra in San Jose, I've called around and got quotes from around 15 vendors before choosing them. They wrapped my hood and fender with wrapped edge but the bumper was a precut (pre-refresh Model S) overall I am very happy with their work. Their paint correction price was very good too but I did that part myself. PM me if you want more details.

Last time we picked up a Tesla (2015 Obsidian Black S70D-2 years ago) we wanted to have Tesla skip any pre-delivery prep/detailing. They were going to make us sign a release that would absolve Tesla of any paint flaws. Did not sign it. Accepted the sub-optimal prep. Brought car on day of Fremont delivery straight to Joe at OCDetailing (OCDetailing - Bay Area Coating & Clear Bra Specialist) for full paint tune-up and cQuartz (he selected the product--he used OptiCoat Pro on my 2013 multi-coat Red). FWIW, I do not prefer any wrap/film. And as some of the above posts note, you are picking up a $100,000+ vehicle. Be careful to not choose a price but a level of quality. Joe has seen/done over 2000 Teslas in his shop (plus some other nice marques). YMMV. Oh, and BTW, I don't get any referral credits or spiffs--just respect him and his work.

Joe does not have the lowest price but has arguably one of the best reputation in Bay Area when it comes to paint correction. If you are willing to spend a little more you should go with Joe at OCDetailing. You can actually have one of his guy to come out to you when you are taking delivery and they will help you inspect the car. I highly recommend it if you're taking brand new delivery of your X.
