My daughter met her boyfriend when they were both working at a restaurant in L.A. many years back. They moved to Portland, OR and began an annual trek across country to spend several Summers and Falls in Portland, ME. Since he's from way upper north ME he tends not to like being there in the Winter. So after they made a couple of these trips the wife and I decided to spend a week out there with them. We went to see where Stephen King lives, out to Baa Habaa for some clam chowder and a walk out to Bar Island during low tide, toured the Maine Wildlife Park (guaranteed to see an actual Moose!), and the scenery (and breweries and LL Bean) along the coast down to Portland. A few months later (late February 2020), we met them again but that time in Kissimmee, FL where they were going to spent the Winter and Spring. They are now back "home" in Tualatin, OR in their RV.
