I didn't either but in visiting Portland I found that everyone there calls Portland PDX for some reason. The airport and it's former carpet are a big deal. I'd say it's more of a local nickname like Chi-town is for Chicago.Thanks. LOL no, I don't have all of the airport codes memorized.

Yeah, for some reason the former PDX carpet is a cult legend. People would take foot selfies with the carpet and there was public outcry when the carpet was changed... It's even got its own wiki page Portland International Airport carpet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaCarpet?
so for the background - the fascination with the carpet didn't start so much for a fondness of the carpet itself as much as people on social media posting photos like the one below with comments about departing or returning home.Wow. That is ridiculous. First of all, its' freaking carpet. Secondly, it's fugly; not impressive or interesting in the least. There's a lot I've heard about Portland that I think I'd really like, but that's pretty stupid.
It almost looks like a car with just primer and clear coat.I've seen Telesto gray in real life on a BMW M3. Would look wicked on the Model 3.
