Can others share their quotes, please? I'm trying to compare to see if this pricing structure is standard or if it is high.

Here is my quote:

SOLAR:
12.2 kW DC solar panels $14,226.42 ----- This is quoted for the 305W panels
Inverter and mounting hardware $8,025.16 ----- This seems a little expensive
Installation, Permitting and other fees $14,226.42

STORAGE:
2 Powerwalls and tax $14,204.00 ----- I asked for 1 power wall
Gateway $1,100.00

Installation, Permitting and other fees $2550.00 ----- Why is this so much?

$200 discount for solar and power.

TOTAL: $54,132.00

Seems a bit much for installation, does it not?

I asked them to take out some panels and change them to the black 315W configuration making it a 10.395 kW system. I also asked for 1 powerwall instead of two. I'm currently waiting on the revised contract.

TESLA ENERGY quote in SoCal as of Feb 15, 2019:

10.40 kW Panasonic HIT 305 x 34 panels / SolarEdge HD Wave Inverter SE7600 / 34 SE Optimizer

Solar Power System: $36,279

2 Powerwall Units (Including Applicable Taxes) $14,438
Powerwall Installation & Additional Hardware $4,050
Powerwall gateway $1,100

Solar PV cost per watt: $36279 / 10400 watt = $3.488 per watt
2 Powerwalls: $19,588

Looks like you have overall better pricing than the above.
Maybe because California have SGIP rebate (~ 3K per PW) to offset the higher cost.

Signed contract with Tesla in April 2018 and install was completed October 2018.

6.5kw Solar PV system: $25,350 total ($10,725 hardware, $975 premium panel upcharge, $13,650 install and permitting).

Two Powerwalls: $14,458 total ($12,758 hardware, $700 gateway, $1,000 install and permitting).

Total system cost was $39,808.... just filed for my 30% Federal credit and NYS credit (capped at $5k). Total out of pocket cost after rebate and credits for me was about $21k.

Here are my costs for the 2 Powerwalls I signed the contract for in October 2018 with Tesla Energy. They were reserved in May 2018 and installed in January 2019. I didn't get any CA SGIP as that ran out for Tesla Energy, but I will file for the 30% tax credit when I do the taxes for 2019.
Price sheet
2 Powerwalls
$11,800
Entire home backup
Backup gateway

Multi-Powerwall installation

I was impartial at first but I like the all black look now.

I am based in Australia and my quote is in AUD. I recently installed a 5KW PV system with a single tesla battery. the PV system had Trina honey panels, an SMA sunnyboy inverter for $4500 AUD and the Powerwall with all the install gateway etc total cost me $11,900 AUD.

What is the difference between the install fee & service? I am also in Irvine so I am curious on knowing more about your setup.
My place was built in 2010 and it's roughly 4900 sq ft. I have a 200 amp service (main panel and 70 amp sub panel).
I had solar city install solar (20 year lease) back in 2014. I have a 4kwh system.

Good question, I never asked Tesla Energy what's the difference between the installation fees and installation service cost items. My Powerwall setup is a whole house backup. They did installed a new subpanel inside the garage in which they relocated all of the house circuits from the main panel to the new subpanel and put in all new circuit breakers for the house circuits. The main panel still has the main 200 amp breaker and all of the former house circuit breakers that are now disconnected. Possibly one of these installation cost items is for that new subpanel. Previously back in 2012 I had a local solar company put in a 5.6kW system with SunPower solar panels.

Here is my quote I just received on Friday....Im not sure what to think. They said the only thing is they said my water pump will not be able to be powered by the powerwall. I will need to get a 3rd powerwall just for that. I cant see myself spend another $8,000 just for a power source for my water pump. Im located in NY. Any opinions are appreciated.

Damn. What kind of water pump do you have? 100A? Lol

My well pump is 20A and should work with one Powerwall.

I have gotten my price break down yet. I had someone come and do the site inspection last week. How long did it take to hear back? But my intial quote was:

$24037 and change for a 6.83kw system and they estimated 12.143kw of production the first year.

This would put me at around $3.51/watt correct?

This is with no powerwalls. I’m in central California. Anyone in the region get a better quote?

That is about $3.52 per watt.

My 10.395 kW system was quoted for 11850 kWh per year, but i'm in the northeast.
