So my pickup date was today, however due to closing on a home I was unable to get started on financing until day of closing.

I got approved by adelfi on Tuesday for the financing and have provided all required materials however haven't been sent loan documents just yet. As a result funding is not finalized. Tried asking for delay of just few days but they've not been willing which I understand to an extent.

Anyway, just got a message that delivery has been pushed to Monday and order will be cancelled or pushed to back of queue if not picked up. So not looking great. Just unfortunate timing of everything but hopefully it somehow works out

Sorry to hear about your predicament. I hope it all works out. I’ve been dealing with adelfi and fedchoice and they both seemed to be pretty slammed. Things speed up if you get them in the phone. Lots of people chasing these low rates I guess. I also got approved for Tesla financing just in case the others don’t fund in time. Not the best rate there but I’d probably refi that loan sometime down the line if it came to it. Good luck.

Appreciate it! I have gotten adelfi on phone few times but they don't seem to be able to connect you with underwriting team so most they've done is add messages to my application. Ah well will see how it all shakes out

Forewarning about Adelfi...I was approved with them 10 days ago and have not been able to get them on the phone ever since. I am supposed to pick up the car tomorrow, and that is now in jeopardy because they do not allow you to talk to anyone besides the generic customer service reps who "send messages to the loan department asking them to call you" which doesn't work.

That didn't happen with me. I had to call Tesla to get them to do the MVPA. Stated it would be done by the end of the day; however, it was completed a few hours later and only available via the web. Five days have passed and it's still not available on App. Says I need to wait 24 hours before pick up. Glad I called Tesla and they told me it would be available on the web so that I could finish financing.
Yep, I had to call Tesla 4x to get the MVPA. They could not get it to post on the website, so they eventually emailed it to me.

Has anyone looked into Tower FCU? I'm looking for options other than Adelfi or Fedchoice.
Haven't checked them out. Rates look good. Jump into the fray and submit an app. :) I'm so burned out on this financing hunt. Just when you think you've submitted everything, they want a phone bill or some other nonsense. Starting to feel like I'm getting a payday loan rather than financing a $75k vehicle.

Adelfi finally pulled it off and overnighted the check to Tesla with minutes to spare last night. Meanwhile, Tesla has texted me asking for proof of payment 4x but NEVER respond to my texts. It's become clear that they are not receiving or reading anything I say. I sent 3 texts asking for them to call me. Nothing.

P.S. Is it safe for me to go back to being an athiest now? 😂

what was the rate and terms you received from Adelfi?

My loan was funded today with FedChoice. What a relief to be done!

I applied to FedChoice and Adelfi on the same day and since the rates were so close my plan has been to just go with the one that could complete the process first. For me the thing that took the longest was to set up the deposit account at FedChoice. That took two days. Once that was done, the loan docs showed up very quickly and the loan was funded within an hour.

The fact that going with FedChoice is going to save more than $2,500 over the term of the loan versus Tesla financing, makes it worth the extra effort. Considering that I could walk into a dealership and get a loan on the spot, the process with these credit unions is tedious. Watching the delivery date creep closer without any idea if the financing would get there in time was stressful.

My recommendation is to have a plan b, and even a plan c. Good luck to all those out there still trying to get their deal finalized.

At this point our plan b is most likely going to be Adelfi. They've been a bit of a nightmare to work with in our situation - we were quoted a slightly elevated rate than what was advertised and told that they wouldn't be adjusting rates due to the recent hike.

We were pre-approved with Adelfi but our SA advised to apply to Tesla Financing as soon as the VIN is released (which could happen any day at this point) hopefully Tesla comes in at a slightly lower rate, but if not we'll move forward with Adelfi.

Plan is to try and refinance if rates ever go down. We got in on the app process right after feds raised rates (waited too long I think). Trying to sit on the fence between an EDD less than a month away and Feds taking a monthly hike has been a nightmare so far.

Received a VIN today with EDD 11/9-16. So I went ahead and applied for loans with AdelFi & FedChoice and was instantly approved for both. I got 3.65% with AdelFi, but a rate was not specified with FedChoice. As others have also mentioned, the plan is to go with the bank that approves funding the quickest. For those who applied, what documents should I prepare for uploading other than a signed MVSA?

For Adelfi - you just need MVPA, Drivers License and Proof of Insurance. After they review those documents and verify that you're a member (e.g. have a checking account set up), they'll send over the loan agreements for DocuSign.

After signing, it only took 1 business day for me to be funded.

Does Adelfi issue the check and mail to you, so you can take it with you when you pick up the car?

This is actually the only issue I had with going with Adelfi. I communicated via their online messenger that I wanted a physical check mailed to me, but they ended up wiring it directly to Tesla after I signed. I think they were so busy trying to process all these Tesla loan applicants that they didn't read my message until after the wire was sent.

They responded saying that they have to send directly to Tesla. Although, I'm pretty sure their FAQ says a check can be requested. My sugguestion would be to try and hop on a call with a loan officer to communicate/request this.

the rate is attractive for 61-72 mos, and i believe 60 mos rate is even lower.

the local credit union issued a check on the spot on the day I went to complete the loan process. I got the preapproval a week earlier and locked for 45 days. i might check with Adelfi. I do not want to wire the money to Tesla ahead of time before I even take a look of the car (i am sure i won't reject the delivery unless that are some major issues).

Update: I'll be moving forward with AdelFi as they have been the most responsive. I was requested to upload the following docs: last 90 days pay stub, phone bill, proof of residence, proof of insurance with the Tesla already added to the policy, & MVPA signed by me. To get an MVPA you need to request it from Tesla and ensure AdelFi's name is on the document as the Lienholder. I hope to wrap this up by tomorrow and hopefully, the bank can issue payment to Tesla on Friday as my appt to pick up is Saturday morning. I did ask Tesla if I could delay to Monday in case my loan doesn't go through on Friday, they pretty much said the car will be given to someone else and I will have to wait for a new VIN. Fingers crossed!

What is the benefit of a check to you instead of wire transfer to Tesla?
How close to the EDD should one start applying for loan?
I recently got my first 2-week EDD window ending on 12/31, but many with the same MyLR7 order have seen their EDDs push out. The next FED rate meeting is on 12/14. I don't want to be stressed out at the end but also don't want to start the loan application too early only to have the discounted rate lock expire from FedChoice.
