Crossclimate 2 on Model Y

Hey Guys,

I just purchased 18" aero wheels from a 2021 Model 3. I'd like to run the Crossclimate 2 tires, but the equivalent-to-stock size (diameter) has a load rating of 100v, which is below manufacture specs. My only other option are 235/60/18, which has a 1" larger diameter than the stock tires.

If I go this larger route, can I expect a significant decrease in range?

Possibly; the CC2 in 235/60R-18, weight 29lbs, is 4 pounds heavier than than the OE size CC2 235/45R-18, weight 25 lbs.

The outer diameter of the 235/60R-18 is 2.8" greater (+10.6%). The actual speed versus the speedometer readout will be more than 10% higher.

Found my login credentials just to post here. @sycotuck why don't you get 245/55/18 tires? That is what I am doing with 18" Martian wheels instead of the Aeros for my MYP. These are only 2% greater than the stock 21s on the MYP so the difference in speedo is negligible. I ordered the tires from TireRack.

Also there is some weight reduction on the wheel itself
gemini wheel weight: 29.6lbs
aero wheel weight: 21.6lbs
So, maybe you will still a little bit better that stock efficiency.
