CVRP (California EV Rebate) Documentation Question

Question for those of you who have been approved for the CVRP rebate - is the small temporary identification slip stuck to the windshield sufficient documentation of registration for purposes of the CRVP required supporting documentation? I’d like to apply for the rebate now rather than wait until I receive the permanent registration. The available CVRP funding is dropping by the day.

Relatedly, any ideas on how to obtain a copy of my fully executed MVPA, also for CVRP supporting documentation purposes? Now 10 days after delivery, it still hasn’t been uploaded to my Tesla account and repeated email to the delivery specialist have gone unanswered.

You can use the small temporary one (as long as you take it off and unfold it to submit the entire thing). I did it that way and my documents were just approved today (2 months later).

As for the MVPA, I sent in the signed version that my CU required. If you have a MVPA with both your and Tesla's signatures, you should be fine.

The day of my delivery, I was told I would have all my documents scanned and available by that evening on the My Tesla account. Almost a week later and still nothing. I emailed both my ISA and Delivery advisor and both got back to me within 48 hours with a copy of all my scanned documents. If it's not your account yet, I would try doing the same.

It is dropping by the day ... no doubt, but a long ways from disappearing.

This funding has been going on for a long time.

When the funds run out, they still take applications, but they are held until the next traunch of money arrives.

:Things might have changed, but it used to be that you needed to wait until you got your plates and registration from the DMV.

Teresa just got her rebate a couple days ago. Took over 3 months to arrive. YMMV.

Rebate you can apply with the temp registration and the final signed MVPA ...keep in mind currently it takes about 1 1/2- 2 months just to look at app and process ..than once approved another 30-90 days to cut a check ..when I did one back in 2014 whole process was like 30days from app to delivery of check

CVRP Funding Status

Appears to be lots left!!

Tons! enough for 7000 cars ish.

$17.8M divide by $2500 per car.

Some people will try and get technical on me and say not all cars qualify for th $2500 and is only $1500. Fine then, crack! Make it enough for 8000 cars.
Point is. It’s dwindling. And then you’ll have to wait for the next round of funding. Who knows how long that is. Several months? 6 months? Canceled? LoL

I completed it for the fist car, but I guess they never made my complete it for the second? Also neither of the copies I have are signed on the last page by the Delivery Experience Specialist.

Well you do need a copy with the correct VIN. Did you do an eDoc signing of the MVPA? If so, they should email you a copy of the signed doc from email address [email protected].

Yea I have the copy I e-signed with the old vin, but not the new one. I can print out the one on my tesla account page, and sign it, then I just need to find a scanner to create a PDF I guess?

None of the MVPA's have the last page signed though. :( Is that required?

Well I didn't submit the signed MVPA when I did our Model X earlier this year. So after 60 days, I got an email saying that my document was not sufficient, that I need a "signed" copy of the MVPA. So I printed them out, signed them on the buyer signature lines. Scan them using Evernote app on my phone (it can be emailed as jpeg). Submitted them and got approved the next day. The seller line was blank and they accepted that. YMMV. BTW, on my Model 3 signed MVPA, the seller signature was an unreadable initial with a few letter.

Well thats good to kno

Ok so the last page does not need to be signed? I was thinking about doing something like that since my delivery manager never responds to anything. And then you call tesla they tell you that you need to speak to your delivery manager.
