In fact, the 2026 timeline is further out from today than 2019 was at the 2017 unveil.

I haven't heard if they have fully ratified the standard or not. But there have been some recent announcements of public MCS chargers being installed, so that would make me think that maybe it has been. (On a quick search everything I can find just says that it is supposed to be official sometime in 2024.)Is there a finalized standard now?
Lead times for sites, especially ones that use an MCS charger are quite long if they can even be supported at all due to local infrastructure. If you have a site that has multiple MCS chargers that will be in use at the same time....whoa. One issue with fleets is a lot of the depot sites are leased and the landlord is not supportive of installing charger infrastructure or the company does not want to invest in it if it's not a site they will not be guaranteed to have for a long time.They mention that while general deliveries are planned for 2026 they want customers to reach out now and start planning/installing charging infrastructure because it can take a long time for the utilities to get power to their desired sites. (My guess is that once deliveries start they will prioritize customers that have charging in place.)
