There is a dark spot on the passenger’s side, too. I can see it in your picture but it’s less pronounced than the driver’s side.
Why are the dark spots there? I don’t know, but all of the cars with matrix LED headlights have the same thing.
Frankly, I prefer the 3/Y reflector headlights over the matrix headlights, although I’d certainly be fine with either since they’re better than most other cars.
