supposedly when I touch the dashcam icon I am offered the dashcam viewer...............however not in my car...........I am not offered the dashcam viewer...........why not?....anyone else have this situation?

You can't record unless you have something to record the video to. Page 165/166 of the manual.

You will need a flash drive to plug in to one of the front USB ports to save the dashcam or sentry mode footages, then you can use the dashcam viewer to look at the footage.

thanks to all!!!..............plugged in USB drive as directed formatted it and now have dashcam viewer icon and have seen some video.........................it would have been super helpful had the release notes mentioned the requirement to have a memory item in the USB slot.

Its understandable. Our phones come with built in storage...why not Tesla right
