Dead battery heater

This happened to my 2016 MS, 4 years 4 months old. It showed up in the phone app, then appointment was made by clicking on it. It first defaulted to mobile service but then transferred to SC in San Diego; 4 days out. Dropped it off today. They confirmed it’s not under powertrain warranty. Estimate was for $781.74 included taxes. Part is: MDL S, DM, THERM SYS, ELEC BATT HEATER(1038901-00K) $445.00. Will update for everyone to know after pick up car and test driving.

Updated post service. Got the car back the next day. Test drove and everything seems ok. Maybe just me, but I actually feel more power at the accelerator. Charging gains a few more miles. All is good. Warranty for the replacement is 12,000 mile (?)/12 months.
