Definitely better than hours. Did they confirm the home delivery or just promise to call/text you later?
The delivery adviser I was speaking with, Vanessa, told me to text her early Monday morning to see if the home delivery is possible. I guess they need to see if they have the bandwidth to do it. Home delivery also sounds semi-inconvenient since I have a trade-in. They can't fully register the Model 3 until they take possession of the trade-in. So, they would drive the Model 3 to my house, have me fill out paperwork, then drive my trade-in back to Dedham to finish that paperwork then either drive the Model 3's plates back to my house or overnight them to me...

I also had a good day Saturday in Dedham.
I arrived at 9:30AM, I had my paperwork signed by 10:10, and they told me my car was on the truck from RI and was 20 min away.
They said I should be ready to take it home in two hours, so I went home, had some lunch, came back around 1:30 and drove off with my car at about 2PM.
Awesome! Glad to hear it went off without a hitch. You also got to maintain the AM spot, which in hindsight I wish I fought to keep, but as of this morning I no longer care. Life is good.

I’m jealous. Last I heard my car was still in RI!

Been waiting for two weeks to get our car delivered to NH. It's a pretty ridiculous excuse that they don't have a car carrier. By now I'd expect to have the car delivered by someone at service center.

I was told by Hector that they are totally backed up for multiple weeks on home deliveries, he recommended Mt Kisco and I accepted. Right now car is in NJ, scheduled to be delivered to Mt Kisco Wednesday, I have a pick up appointment for Friday morning. Hoping it really happens.....

A question for folks from NH: I was wondering when you were contacted for home delivery? I haven't been contacted by anyone, and my account shows that the scheduled delivery date is 11/21 at Dedham. I doubt that would really happen. Thanks!

When they first called me to schedule Dedham, I told them no.....they said oh, forgot, NH, .....then they said home delivery. Then a week later spoke with Hector in Vegas, he said home delivery totally backed up....we switched to Mt. Kisco, scheduled for 11/23.

yeah, for NH if we pick up in Dedham we pay your tax.....so need other options. But maybe if Dedham organizes the home delivery it will work better? I think the issue is into VT/NH/ME and being organized from Vegas, total cluster....I gave up, happy to pick up in NY.

Did you have any luck? I’m a little frustrated that when I came in to sign my RMV-1 they didn’t have my car and promised Sunday/Monday home delivery. That clearly didn’t happen yesterday and now I can’t get anyone on the phone and it just goes to a full mailbox.

Do you have contact info of the delivery specialist you worked with? Mine is very responsive when it comes to emailing/texting her. Much better results than calling their delivery department.

Hector was a complete pain to deal with for my Model X delivery back in September. He'd never respond to texts or emails. The new DA for our Model 3 has been a lot better, but we never got a choice on where to pick it up. By the time the car was built and we were notified, it was being hauled to Dedham.

My X was delivered a few days after payment, not weeks. If Dedham is so backed up, they should drive cars going to NH to either NY or VT. I'd happily have driven there to pick up our car

I'm okay with Hector, have spoken on the phone a number of times and lots of emails. He responds, just with delays. I'm very happy that he told me up front about home delivery being difficult, this was when my car was still in Chicago on it's way east. We discussed options and he basically said he can do much easier in Mt. Kisco. But hey, I get it, these guys are totally slammed. I'm being patient and letting them try to do their jobs, doesn't help to get upset with them on the phone or email.....they can only do what they can do. My Mt. Kisco pick up on Black Friday could be a total mess also, ....if they're moving like 50 cars that day.....cripes, I bet my local Audi dealership can only dream of that volume.

Thanks, Surfrasch. Do you know if you will be issued a temp NY license plate, or bring a temp NH one down with you when you pick up your car? Also, I seemed to recall reading somewhere that in situation like this Tesla would be paying the one-way expense from NH to NY. Is that still the case? Apologize for all these questions from this anxious prospective Model 3 owner. Thanks again.
