Delivery Question - Receipt of Paperwork

Just took delivery of my Model 3 this past weekend. We did not receive any copies of the paperwork we signed. Question for this community: how long did it take for Tesla to provide you with e-copies of this paperwork? Did it arrive via email, appear in your Tesla account or app, or some other way?

Thanks in advance,

Keith

PS - loving the new car!!

...paperwork we signed...

It's been covered multiple times.

It's under your Tesla Account page. You can view and download "Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement" there.

It does not have any signature. It is not a copy of what you signed but a machine generated document.

If you asked because of CA rebate, it accepts signatureless first page of the document which is "Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement Vehicle Configuration" and it is satisfied with the printed date and time instead of signatures .

However, you need to print out, sign and date the "Delivery Declaration" page to certify that the car is in your possession.

My sales person emailed me scanned copies of everything the same day, so it really depends on your sales person.

Got it, thank you. Appreciate the quick response.

BTW, might be that I'm on this forum from inside my work firewall, but I've yet to see a search feature........would have used it if I had been able to find it.

Mine doesn't have an electronic signature or timestamp of the Tesla delivery specialist. Is that ok with just my signature as the buyer? CVRP still accepted yours?

This is what it looks and I red circled the date listed as "Accepted by Customer on: 5/13/18 8:32 PM."

This is not the actual delivery date.

My actual delivery date was in July or 2 months later.

But CA rebate needs this type of date and time if you don't have a copy with signature on "Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement Terms & Conditions".

Remember in addition to those date and time on that piece of paper, you need to print out and sign your actual delivery date and your signature on the "Delivery Declaration" page.

Thanks, Tam. I quoted his response about the delivery declaration page. Yours has your delivery specialist signature or is it blank?

Blank. No signature whatsoever in my Tesla Account page!

The Delivery Declaration page is blank also. I had to print it out and fill in the date and signed it without Tesla's signatures.

So pulled the document from my Tesla Account page. Noticed it didn't have my VIN, it only had the RN # from my order. And the car that is shown is not the car that I have. The car on the document is a MR RWD in Solid Black, I have a LR RWD in Obsidian Black. The actual configuration is shown when you look at the specifics for my car in my account, but not on the document. The price of the vehicle, therefore, is incorrect. I think this is because the weekend we placed our order was the weekend Tesla made the switch to the MR RWD from the LR RWD. So, when we initially got put into the system, it was for the MR car. Meanwhile, they were doing an inventory search and found us a LR RWD in black, which we ended up buying. I noticed in the emails I started getting from Tesla that evening that the first messages had the MR RWD configuration, which subsequently got updated to the LR RWD with the correct color.

I've submitted a query through my Tesla Account page, but haven't heard anything back. Later today I'm going to call the delivery center to try to get them to scan and email the documents to me.

I'm not a lawyer, but I've always thought that I was supposed to get a copy of any contract I signed upon the signing. In the excitement of getting the car, I completely forgot to ask for copies (darn it!!).

Thanks. I guess the most important question is did your application get approved?

No Tesla's signatures, No problem, No rejections at all because I did as instructed on what to do when there is no Tesla's signatures:

https://cleanvehiclerebate.org/site.../cvrp/documents/SampleSupportingDocuments.pdf

It took about 3 months to get the $2,500 CVRP check:

I've heard quite a few cases of owners who have insisted to get copies of what they signed and eventually they got those copies through the e-mail but it may take multiple follow-ups and much time.

Yeah that sample doc for delivery has a signature for Tesla delivery specialist and the note says "signatures" so clearly it was not as instructed. But hey, I'm hoping I won't get the one person that is strictly by the book.

...clearly it was not as instructed...

You are right about the instruction for all signature including Tesla's signature for Delivery Declaration Page.

I didn't have Tesla's signature for that and I got through with no inquiries at all and maybe because of luck.

I have not heard anyone got a Tesla's signature document uploaded on Owner's Account Page but I do hear that if you are persistent, you can get it through your e-mail as in the case of @Campfamily above.
