Delivery times now 7-11 weeks

I’ve been looking to purchase a new MS and just recently the delivery period increased from 2-4 weeks to now 7-11 weeks. Could this be a new refresh/redesign is imminent?

That same thing happened when I placed an order June 1. I got mine in 3 - 4 weeks, but during that time the delivery time increased to 6 - 8 weeks. Likely increased demand is the primary driver. They are always implementing changes. The Plaid Model S version is expected late this year or early next. Maybe a major redesign late next year? I don’t think demand increase is the reason

if I had to guess I’d say they’re building cars for the European market to ship them off and deliver before year end.

Could be, but only the MX and MS has those long delivery dates.

They're showing deliveries in 1-3 weeks now for X & S. Kind of odd they were really long wait times then just dropped this morning.

I think of their estimates about the same as most software progress bars. It gives you a ballpark idea, but doesn't generally match up with reality. I got 6-8 weeks estimate when I ordered my S on 8/26, and now it's available for delivery this Thursday, just over 3 weeks later. (I opted for Saturday as I'm busy Thursday)
