Direct delivery eligibility if home not near SC

I live about 170 miles from the nearest service center and when I bought a model 3 in 2019 it was delivered to my home. Now for a model Y I was only given options to schedule an appointment at the service center. Can i request they deliver instead? How? Who qualifies for home delivery? I’m guessing Tallahassee, where Teslas are super common, is one of the larger markets to be so far from a SC.

All I can suggest is to call up the SC and talk with the manager. Maybe you can meet in the middle?

Things (and maybe criteria) have likely changed since 2019.

I had to drive 225 miles to get mine. Picking up at the Service Center was the only option provided. You might want to reach out to an SA to see if there are other options available if you don't want to make the drive.

I asked and they said I lived too far from the SC for delivery, though if I lived close to the SC I wouldn’t need delivery. I’ll have to rent a car one way, but at least all the rental companies have locations near the SC on auto-shop road. Not a great customer experience but the car is still worth it.
