Purchasing experience is SO much worse than it was a few years ago

Buying my Tesla was as easy as it gets. My time at the counter was 2 or 3 minutes. The car was sitting outside with my name in the windshield, I was escorted to the car by staff who helped us set up our phones and I was on the way home.

My only complaint, it was raining. I’m sure some here would blame the rain on Tesla.
Not the rain, the windshield wipers. Did they work?

I'm going through the buying process now for a MYL, i live in Central NY. It's not just Canada. So far it's been, OMfG, could it any more difficult? I've been a Tesla fan since day 1. Finally got a point where I can get one. On avg I keep cars for 10 years. Research says it 'should' last. Either way, all thing being equal I may never buy one again just because of how many hoops I've had to jump through to please the don't give a #%^& tesla support people. And I don't even have it yet. I'm praying ownership will be much better.

Also going through the buying process now and I have to say, it's been a mixed bag so far. Granted, part of my problem is that Tesla can't legally sell in my state (Oklahoma) so there are several hoops to jump through. However, I chose Alliant CU for funding even though they were .05% higher than NFCU because Alliant said they would happily wire the loan money to Tesla while NFCU was going to send me a draft, which I would then have to endorse and then actually mail to Tesla's payment center before they would have the vehicle transported here for delivery as Tesla cannot legally accept funds in my state. When I offered to drive to either St Louis or Kansas City to take delivery and make payment, they said that wasn't an option.

However, after the Alliant loan was approved and funded, Tesla said that they needed a screenshot or document showing not only the wire confirmation number from Alliant, but also the account number the funds were sent to, the exact date/time the wire was sent, and proof that the wire was actually in completed states meaning the funds had actually been released by Teslas bank.

However, when I asked Allliant for that info, they refused and said their agreement with Tesla states that all I need to give tesla is a copy of my loan contract, I went back and forth between Tesla and Alliant for a couple of days before my loan officer drafted an email to my Tesla rep promising that Alliant was good for the money lol. Then it was another day or so before the Tesla funding team actually approved the vehicle transport, which is where I am now. I have been given a soft delivery date of sometime early next week. We shall see if it happens.
