Disappointed with cold-soak battery range (no garage) Or is it just me?

High power usage for that few miles will not do any noticable harm to the battery. People get really into the details here, but if you plug in and have ordinary needs, you can basically just not worry about any of this stuff.

I charge to 80% or 90% every day, for instance. 7 months and 6k miles in, I actually have more rated miles than new. Not thinking about this stuff is great.

In terms of plugging in at the train station, the only question that i continue to have is how long one can leave their car parked with out plugging in at say minus 35 Celsius. I believe Tesla says that at minus 30 F you can't leave the car unplugged for more than 24 hours. Also, is what is the minimum type of plug that would suffice at these temperatures to protect the battery?

While we don't reach these temperatures all that often here in Calgary, it is very possible that we get these extremes and worse a few times a year a year.
